The being of sheer evil and malevolence, darker than darkness itself, feared by all children in their sleep, with burning red eyes, and fear and hatred dripping out of every orifice, spoke. "So, Yuri, how did my brother get out?" Yuri glanced away nervously. She didn't like it when her dad was mad at her. Even if he never stayed mad. "I don't know. I had some people over for a party-" she started, meekly, and was cut off by a roaring voice. "A PARTY? Did your mother and I not leave specific instructions against that very thing! I bet you had your ... tasty looking.... normal friends here." "Dad!" "Oh, uh, sorry. But as for your punishment. You are grounded!" "G-grounded? But Dad-" Yuri started frantically, but was cut off again. "Don't 'But Dad' me. You may be my daughter, but you forget I *AM* a being of pure evil and darkness." The voice coming from the amorphous black shape seemed to have lost all of its evil and darkness, and sounded suspiciously sweet. Yuri sunk her head in defeat. Grounded. She wouldn't be able to see Bala or Leilei, or Reiko and Atsuko, or any of her friends. This was going to suck. <(oo)> Dark Heart High Netherworld Educational Institution for the Universal Propagation of Evil founded by Mads ******************************************* Part Thirty: Encounters! by Jexer(like it says on the page!) <(oo)> Amy emerged from her home, too early for her parents to be awake. She was off to see Yuri. To others, it might seem odd that she got up before the sun to get to Yuri's house before anyone there was even awake and sit on their porch, but to her it was just her way of making sure she would see Yuri as soon as she was out. Can't take too many chances. She walked with a heavy step, though. She had dared to attempt to hurt her beloved one. She didn't doubt Yuri would understand, and forgive her though. As she arrived at the Mikagami house, and set foot upon the porch, the front door opened. Amy resisted an urge to vomit, 'seeing' and seeing a black amorphous blob, with no discernable shape or form, and glowing red eyes, fixing its attention upon her. "I-is Y-y-yuri th-there?" she stammered out, resisting the (much stronger) urge to run away in sheer terror. The black amorphous blob known as Troi Mikagami grinned. "She's grounded. You look very tasty, yes. I don't think Yuri would mind too much if I ate you...." Troi's sentence wasn't heard, though, as Amy Angeleye had fled in abject terror. He settled for a wide grin, then closed the door. The sun was coming up. <(oo)> A constant tap-tap, as if a girl wearing dress shoes was running very very fast, comparable to the sound of an Uzi with the trigger held down, sounded along the streets. This sound was the only sound heard, as far as Balabalalde could hear. He turned his head quizzically, then finally looked at Leilei. Leilei looked back at him, and nodded. "Yeah, I hear it too. I wonder what that could be..." The sound got closer and closer to the two, Balabalalde tensing up. One Amy Angeleye suddenly rounded a corner, and ran smack into one Balabalalde. The resulting impact made a loud *THUD*, almost scooting him back a little, but for Amy, it was like running into a brick wall. A person shaped brick wall that was rather powerful, and also was not on good terms with her. Balabalalde stepped back, letting the dazed Amy slump to the ground, regarding her casually, then leaning down, grasping her with one hand, and picking her up with it. Amy's eyes reopened, focusing on the now clear image before her, and she gulped. Bala grinned, and Leilei averted her view. <(oo)> 'I can't be stupid about this. I'm just going to see how she is, and talk to her. No dramatic rescues or situations.' Ki quenched a brief flutter of happiness that came up when he thought about Yuri, determined to break his attachement. Having composed himself, he knocked upon the front door of the Mikagami household. Or at least tried too, as it swung open before his knuckles could rap against it. The cause was evident. Troi Mikagami had opened the door just as Ki had reached out. Ki help his hand out for a moment, then retracted it. "Yes?", said Troi, in a voice that said, 'You better have a good reason for being here or I will devour your soul.' Ki, unphased, responded. "Is Yuri in? I heard she was in an 'incident' before and would like to know ...how she's doing." Troi grinned. This one didn't seem so pitiful as the Angeleye girl. Maybe he could play with him a bit before sending him off. "Yuri is okay. She's asleep now." Ki seemed ...disappointed. "Well, would you leave word with her that I would like to speak with her?" Troi eyes narrowed. "She is grounded. She will speak to no one." The effect of such an evil, dark, fearsome being narrowing its eyes at Ki was lost on him however. "I insist," said Ki firmly, one hand reaching to his hip. Troi grinned, and casually zapped Ki with some dark energy, turning him into a fluffy bunny, then teleporting him to a petting zoo. He grinned wider, imagining the mental anguish and frustration it would cause putting a Steel Thorn boy through that. He really had to thank his wife for expanding his horizon on what was truly evil. Troi eyed the horizon. The sun was almost up, now. Ah, well. Yuri's mother could do just as well of a job of keeping away Yuri's friends. <(oo)> In a musty, smelly, petting zoo, about 20 miles south of it's previous location, that smelled of fluffy animals and cuteness, a cute fuzzy widdle bunny wabbit scweamed. And a 8-year-old girl pointed and said, "I want that one!" <(oo)> Yuri stepped down the stairs, yawning. Her mother and father were already at the table, waitng for her. "Good morning, Yuri!" her mother called out. Her father just grunted. "Good morning, Dad! Good morning, Mom!" she called out in response, taking her seat at the table. "Mom! You made your bloodberry waffles!" "I know how much you two love them," Yuri's mother replied nonchalantly. She stood up, picking up a stuffed briefcase. "Well, I'm off to work." Yuri glanced up, quizzically. "It's a weekend. Why do you have to work?" Mrs. Mikagami grinned. "No rest for the wicked. Well, I'm off. I'll be home later!" Father and daughter watched as mother exited the house. Upon Mrs. Mikagami's exit, Troi turned to his daughter. "Yuri, dear, your friends are very insistent on seeing you. I had to turn away two of them already," spoke up Troi, with a hint of mischieviousness in his voice. "Dad, don't be too mean to them, okay? I'd be really sad if you hurt any of them." Yuri's eyes started shimmering to reinforce the point, and she frowned. Troi hastily composed himself. "Yes, honey. I promise I won't hurt any of your friends." Yuri's momentarily sad demeanor brightened up immediately. Troi grumbled to himself. Even when she was grounded, she was still as cheery as ever. <(oo)> Yuri stared at the ceiling of her room, which had been painted a black that glowed blood red when exposed to blacklight when she was just a baby. She was really bored. She glanced at her clock, 4:07 pm, then idly shook her cat bracelets, listening to the tinkle they made. She really missed Bala, and everyone else. (oo);; Troi looked up, sensing more people approaching his abode. 20 feet away, N-N-W, 2mph walking speed. 'More of Yuri's friends. Why do they have to come when the sun is out?' <(oo)/ Sitting up, Yuri spied Balabalalde and Leilei just entering her lawn. She smiled, the frowned again, remebering her dad was enforcing her punishment. There was always hope, though! <(oo)> Leilei reached up, knocking gently on the door. A few moments passed, and no response. Bala, lurking back some distance, frowned. A few more moments passed, and Yuri Mikagami answered the door, dressed in casual clothes. "Leilei! Bala! I'm so happy to see you! I'm afraid I can't talk long, though. My dad grounded me for letting his cousin out." "Oh, that's too bad! Me and Bala were gonna go to the scrapyard, and were wondering if you wanted to come." Yuri blinked. "Scrapyard?" Leilei nodded. "Yeah, Bala said he wanted to kick around something that might be a challenge." Yuri blinked again. "Well, sounds like fun, but I'm sorry, I can't go." "It's okay. Me and Bala understand," said Leilei, nodding sagely. "Well, thanks for stopping by!" said Yuri, waving at Bala, who looked away. "Well then, we'll be off! See you on school Monday!" Leilei tapped Balabalalde on the shoulder, passing him by. <(oo)> When all else fails, kill all that stand in your way. The steel thorn bunny quickly followed that philosophy, having realized that as a bunny, he was almost powerless. But bunnies did have one thing going for them. Jumping power and powerful incisors. So, when Liza arrived there, every man, woman, child, and animal was dead, their throats having been ripped out, by the obvious thing. A lone bunny with a very bloody face. Liza glanced up from her Sale-radar(Just invented, designed to search out poor helpless suckers who simply couldn't refuse a sale), and looked down at the bunny. She glanced around, then quickly came to the conclusion. "Let me guess. You were polymorphed to a bunny and didn't like it. Well, never fear, Liza here has the answer to any polymorph gone bad! Just 60,000 meseta. Err, yen." The bunny regarded Liza casually, then scratched in the dirt, '40,000' "Tell you what. Since you're so cute, I'll give you a 5,000 meset-" Liza cut the word short, correcting herself. "Sorry, yen discount. Only 55,00 yen, and you can be anything you want!" 'Once I get back to normal, I am going to kill that girl in a very painful way.' The bunny nodded, the movement causing a small drop of blood the fall from its nose. <(oo)> By about 6pm, Amy Angeleye had regained conciousness. The first thing she noticed was that it was dark. The second thing was that she could taste concrete. And thirdly, she felt as if every bone in her body had been broken. After a few moments, she remembered what had happened. She had ran into Balabalalde, and Balabalalde put her 7 feet into the sidewalk. The ex-magical girl slowly, painfully made her way out of the Amy-shaped 7 foot hole in the sidewalk, her hatred for Balabalalde growing with each new pain that brought itself to her attention. \(oo)/ A knock on the door sounded, signifying that someone had arrived at the Mikagami household. Yuri took it upon herself to answer the door. The burning hatred and iron determination that had been moving her body every step of the way, despite her body's protests, vanished totally upon sighting Yuri opening the door. As Yuri opened the door, she saw Amy collapse, in a not-good way. "Ano... Amy, are you okay?" Yuri waited for a response, and, expectedly, got none. "Well, I think Dad will understand. Just hold on, Amy! I'll help you!" Yuri opened the door fully, then picked up Amy from underneath the shoulders, and dragged her inside, and from there to the closest couch. She propped Amy up with some pillows, then, satisfied with that, retreived the first aid kit from the kitchen. (oo); Amy awoke to a different feeling than before. She was on a soft surface, and she could feel banadages and ointments upon her skin. She flinched, as one of her cuts suddenly stung, something being applied. She opened her eyes, moving her head slowly, to spy Yuri, dabbing a Q-tip on one of her numerous cuts. "Amy! You're awake!" Amy's heart skipped several beats all at once. 'Yuri does care for me! I know ours is destined to be a true love!' "What happened to you, Amy? You knocked on my door and then fell down, you look pretty hurt." The concern in Yuri's voice was overwhelming. Amy sniffed. "Balabalalde... Bala... hunted me down... attacked me for... no reason..." "Bala-kun? Why would he do that?" asked Yuri, surprised. "So cruel... he said he was going to kill... kill me..." Yuri raised a hand to her chest, almost gasping. "Bala said that? N-no! I won't beleive it!" Amy coughed, leaning her head back again, closing her eyes. Yuri forced herself to calm down, and finish treating Amy. 'I'll worry about that later. I have to help Amy right now.' /(--)\ "So, Mom, is it okay? I know I'm grounded, but Amy is really hurt, and she dosen't want to go anywhere else. Bala threatened her, but I think she'd be safe here." "Okay, hon. But remember, she's going to be your responsibility. And... you might want to move her out of the living room, it probably wouldn't be a good idea for her to meet Troi again just yet." "Thanks Mom!" *-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-* Wee. Authory stuff. ...Writing shoujo is fun, even if the characterization for shoujo is a bitch. Well, at least I didn't flop horribly horrible. ^_^;;; Yes, I know it's short. -_- Um, thanks where thanks is due, prereaders, all 2 of em, late! *-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-* Ki glanced around, making sure noone could see him. Especially Midori. Who knows what kinds of hell she could put him through if she knew about this. Reaching into the grocery bag, he withdrew a bag of rabbit feed. He swore to himself that *someone* would pay for this.
