From: "Floyd Williams" Subject: * Chapter 35 for DHH * Date: Saturday, September 21, 2002 6:51 PM Mrs. MikaGami walked past Yuri's door. She always checked to see that Yuri was up early, but somehow she was always late. Why did it take her so long to get up? Yuri answered her mom, "Yeah, mmhmmm," and promplty turned over on her stomach and went back to sleep. Yuri's alarm clock again (she had pressed snooze previously)then went off a few minutes later. She felt for the button and pressed it. Yuri had meant to press a specific button, but being half asleep, she missed that button and pressed the "Alarm off" button. The correct button would have been the "Snooze" button. But either way, Yuri probably would have been late. Yuri opened her eyes and blinked. She looked up at the ceiling, it was bright in her room she realized, even before her eyes focused. She looked towards the window. The sun was awfully high for 7pm. SHE WAS GOING TO BE LATE! LATE! Yuri got up so quickly, that there was a huge updraft in her room, making sheets fly everywhere, and when she got her pajamas off in the split second it took her, the draft took those with it too. If you were to watch the Yuri put clothes on, you would only see clothes in hand, and then suddenly clothes on body. It was uncomprehendable. Yuri's door suddenly was open and she somehow managed to run WHILE putting on her shoe. She suddenly halted, and her father cradled the paper close to hisnebulous form and her mother firmly gripped the plate she was eating off of, to protect those items from the sudden surge of air. Yuri's mom had already put toast in the toaster, and it popped straight up into a voracious mouth, known as Yuri Mikagami before school. Orange juice somehow made it out of the carton faster than the laws of nature would normally allow. Watching this variation in Yuri's normal routine, Troi Mikagami couldn't help but wonder to himself, if perhaps his daughter *did* have some form of natural power after all? After all, she *did* remind him a great deal of her mother - when his mate had been younger - at times like these. After a ritual "Sorrygottago, loveyasomuch!!!" and Troi's traditional cringing at the word "love", Yuri was at all places between her school, and home, at one point in time. It was practically wall of Yuri for less than a split second. Well, this is what it looked like to others with average vision. Amy, on the porch, was considering walking to school with Yuri again, now that they were friends. She was starting to think she missed Yuri, when suddenly she thought she saw a blur and then she was moving at unbelievable speed, apparently hooked onto something. She looked up. It was the crook of her former beloved's arm. ************************************** Dark Heart High Netherworld Educational Establishment for the Universal Propagation of Evil. Founded by Mads ************************************** Part 35: Experimentations! Floyd "Nabeshin" Williams ************************************** Yuri stopped right outside her class doors, and wheezed just a little bit. She thought she might be getting just a *bit* faster. It didn't take her TOO long to catch her breath, she had a minute before the bell would ring. Amy landed head first on the ground. She was down for the count. Yuri walked in and waved at LeiLei, and Bala, before she sat right at the tone of the bell. The teacher eyed the arrival. She was always on time, but just barely. Students have been catching on about being on time and at school, but she missed freezing someone and throwing them into a hellmouth every now and then. She was almost tempted to tell Yuri that she wasn't in her seat on time, but there were things to be taken care of. "Today class, we will be tested to see who is above this grade's level of evilness and ruthlessness. It is a relatively simple test for those who evil comes natural for." She paused to make sure everyone absorbed what she said. Some people seemed eager to prove their level of darkness, and ascend to the next grade and be the infamous upperclassmen. That was when one Brobdingnag stood up. "I know don't need to take the test, so could you just skip me up. I hate tests." Everyone cringed, laughed or face faulted at that moment of time. You'd have thought he had known better than bragging like that, but then he said what he just did. Craig watched silently, he HAD learned something, and that was to keep your big mouth shut. He cringed at would he could imagine the teacher doing, but the actual result was something neither he - or any of he other students - expected. "Fine. You will report to Advanced Villiany after this period is over, and everyone is through testing." The teacher actually didn't *believe* that Brobdingnag was good enough to be an upperclassman, and was surprised that he actually lived through the first week. He had the nerve to tease Bala about his cat earings, so he must be pretty strong. Or pretty stupid. But if Brobdingnag actually thought he was evil enough to be an upperclassman, she would not personally put her in her place. The upperclassman would do that for her. Knowing your limits is a good lesson, no matter how much she'd like to freeze the child and throw him into a hellmouth. Yuri looked around the class, Leilei did a slight squeal, and Bala... well he blinked, even though he was still unwrapped. Old habits die hard. Yuri didn't actually care too much for the test. She knew, despite what Principal Amakusa seemed to think, that she wasn't evil enough. She sighed rested her head on her chin a looked out the window. She noticed that the school always seemed darker than the surroundings... A paper landed on Yuri's desk, snapping her out of her thought. She looked down at the paper and saw it was multiple choose. Yuri wrote her full name, Yuri T'Glath Mikagami, on her paper, and begun. She looked around the room, everyone had devilish grins on their faces. She read some questions on the test. They were mostly situational questions about what you would do in what instance. She supposed they felt proud about their answers. She decided, she should at least give it a try, even though she would fail. The teacher told LeiLei to stand by the door, since Bala was unwrapped, he could write, and she did not want Bala cheating, even though she doubted the little spark of life, LeiLei, knew what evil was. Leilei yawned and sat on the floor and leaned against the door. Dark Heart High tests were long and boring, just watching them put her to sleep. <----------------------------------------------------> The PA came on. They had to use it since the battle the previous day when Bala's body smashed the bell tower. "Time for the next class." The student didn't seem to care for doing his job. Leilie almost choked to death on the saliva that gathered in her mouth when she was asleep. After a bit of coughing and wheezing, and the teacher glaring at her, they could breath again. "You will attend a short assembly, instead of going to second period, so we can take a few minutes to run your tests through the grading machine." She walked to the door, and gave them a cold stare as the handed her their papers while they exited. <----------------------------------------------------> Principal Amakusa fluidly walked onto the stage. The students had piled into the Auditorium minutes ago. Those capable of doing so had sat down, while others had used some of the non-humanoid areas alternatives to seats. Some of them were ready to go to sleep due to the boredom, but paranoia prevented all but a few from doing anything more than considering the idea. Finally, Principal Amakusa walked fluidly onto the stage. "Here at Dark Heart High, we are very proud of our upperclassmen. Their skills in battle and their cunning, refined by our guidance, is what makes our school better than all the other schools who *claim* that they are evil." The last words in the sentence seemed to eminate sarcasm. He eyed the freshman class, and the crowd seem to actually seemed to react as soon as his stare hit them. It gave a wave effect through the crowd. "Now, we will watch a film about our senior level classes, and about our upperclassmen." The video showed some of the upperclassmen teachers teaching. One of them mentioned was Nakano sensei. She taught Advanced Villiany. She was quite abusive to her students, if they were rude. The students always seemed to be up to something as soon as the teacher turned to write on the board. It seemed kind of like middle school to most Dark Heart High students. Though there was something different. Thier plans actually seemed to work, and they didn't get caught. Though when they tried to harm, or embarrass the teacher, she seemed to causually know the traps were there. She would annouce to the class what was wrong with them, and some students would scribble down what she said. They actually seemed to pay attention. The next film was entitled "A Day in the Life of a Senior." They showed him plotting, all while he had unknown camera shadowing him. When he was watching him wait to see if his trap worked, a trap that used actual magic, instead of gadgets, it appeared to backfire and hit the tree the camera man was in... Maybe he did know he was there. The camera hit the ground and you could see a shadow on the ground and a distinctive shadow. The shadow seemed to be carrying a huge sword, similar to that of Kashin's. "What were you doing following me? You thought I would not notice? Heh, they should have known better than to let a freshie do the secret filming of an upperclassman. You could have gave away my plans if I didn't know you were there." There was smoke clouding the view seeming to come from the camera man in question... Everyone suddenly turned towards Ki. Well, where Ki *was*. Ki was sitting out side the Auditorium doors rubbing his temples. He had to get out of there, before someone opened their mouth. He was cocky enough to think he would go undetected, after all he was trained by the Steel Thorn clan. He would have to earn his respect back. It was neccesary for his plan. Princple Amakusa walked back on stage. He politely coughed to get their attention. No matter how evil he was, false politeness always made people underestimate you, and makes you always appear calm. There was a chill through the audience as he coughed. An unholy chill. They turned toward him. They were quiet before he opened his eyes after he coughed. "We have the results of the test ready. Vice Principal Akurei..." The thing known as the Vice Principal walked onto the stage. He anounced the few that got promoted to upperclassmen. "Doombringer..and finally.....," he narrowed his noticably at the next name in the list," Yuri T'Glath Mikagami. The rest of you, feel glad that you get to spend rest of the year, refining your primitive perceptions of evil." Even though sarcasm was not in his voice itself, it was still seemed deafeningly heard. Principal Amakusa smiled an unhealthy smile. Akurei cocked an eyebrow at him. The Amakusa walked toward the side stage exit, passing the questioning stare from Akurei. "Just a little help for the one who has already proven herself." "So she did not actually pass the test, did she?" Akurei followed after, determined to get an answer out of Amakusa. If he were the Princpipal, that girl would have been expelled a long time ago, or dead, preferably dead, but then again... It did not matter. The Mikagami girl had potential, but he was practically insulting the school with this charade. He favored her too much. <----------------------------------------------------> Yuri blinked, everyone was looking at her. Most of them were glaring intently at her, almost as if they hoped their stares would physically hurt her." Yuri glanced down at Leilei beside her. Her eyes were huge and pleased. Yuri felt sick. She decided it would be best to leave before those people glaring with harmful intent, actually started harming her. Then the mercenary genuis, Liza, walked up to her. She looked coldy down at her. Then thought it was best not to scare off a potential customer, and forced a huge fake smile. "Come with me, here's your schedule, you have Advanced Villiany next period." She pulled Yuri forcefully along by her wrist. Doombringer was leaning against the doorframe, enjoying the scene, and waiting to follow Liza to show them classes they had. Bala was glaring at everyone else at that even LOOKED at Yuri the wrong way. Those threating glares weren't going to even leave the realm of thought to become action while he was on duty. Leilei was tugging at his school uniform he now favored, to make him calm down. Everyone got quiet when a faint red glow filled the room as Yuri left the room, and some were preparing to charge with huge knifes and leave them in her back. True villians, or rather immature freshman, always stabbed you in your back. Yuri exited the door and was startled by a sound that was similar to many arrows hitting a wooden target at once. She turned around and saw arrows, amongst various throwing daggers, coming through the wooden door. Yuri rolled her eyes and was about to turn around and continue walking, when she heard cries of pain. After listening for a moment, she decided it was best not to go in there at the moment. <----------------------------------------------------> The teacher sat with the back of her chair to the class. She was leaning back, and you could not see her face. The bell rang and everyone was in their seats, even Yuri. Lightning struck, and Yuri was puzzled by this as she looked out the window, the sky was clear. Well, she thought there was a dark ominious cloud just above this building... Yuri turned to face the front of the room, to watch the teacher start when... "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHhhhhhh." Yuri was standing on her chair, and her hair and arms went vertical, her eyes were huge, her mouth wide. She was now breathing deeply. Yuri's heart pounded ever so hard. She looked, down, at who was once sitting in the chair in the front of the room. Nakano Sensei. The teacher was an average height then, and had wide and accented jawbone. She wore nice clothes, loose fit and casual, but the clothes colors seemed to be...inverted. The clothes didn't seem natural. The teacher was right in her face, squinting both suspiciously, and contemplatively. Yuri slowly lowered her arms, and her hair slowly went back into it's normal postion. Yuri sat back into her seat, and her mouth closed. The teacher eyes lit with understanding. "You must have passed the advanced placement test. Good, good. You are?" "Y-Yuri, M-Mikagama." "Well get that panicked dear-in-headlights look out of your face. I do not ever want to see that face again, on you, or any other upperclassman." Midori sat in the back of the room, observing the scene. Perhaps she would see what her brother, Ki, saw in this girl. But considering that first episode, perhaps not. The teacher walked back to the front of the classroom eerily with her back to the class, and her head upturned. She then suddenly turned toward the class. Most of the students were used to her behavior, but one Yuri Mikagami, had to keep her startled screams in her throat. "Stand! Are you worthless beings worthy of being seniors?" "Not until after we pass your class, Nakano-Sensei!" Brobdingnag made the mistake of saying yes. The teacher suddenly was right in front of him. She started through his eyes, peered into his soul. If he had one. She then was in front of the board. She whirled around (most people only saw her facing the board, then facing the class), and threw her eraser at Brobdingnag. Brobdingnag took it like a good student, and only got moved slightly by the blow to his forehead. It hurt, but he didn't show it. He instead corrected his answer. "NO!" "Sit down!" Everyone sat down. This was the class' ritual start. The dialog changed time to time, her perhaps using a different insult, but most of the time it stayed like the above. "Today, we will discuss how to torment heros. Any ideas?" Doombringer spoke. "You reek havoc on the innocent." The teacher eyed him. She gave him a cold stare. The stare betrayed nothing. If Doombringer, weren't as cocky as he was, he would have gulped. "That's not a bad answer. I guess your promotion to this class was not as great an error as one might expect. Anyone else?" No body wanted to seem stupid if they said something that the teacher did not like, so they all kept their mouths shut. Yuri at the moment was thinking about Bala. She thought about how he always kept things from happening to her. She thought he was kind of her hero in a way. She thought how he saved her from Craig's plan of sacrificing her earlier this year. Then an idea struck her as she rested her head on her palm. "You kidnap, and/or torchure his girl." Yuri came off as calm and collected, she did not even raise her eyes to meet the teacher's. She was still looking out the window, as if she did not need to listen in this class. She was looking like a real upperclassmen at that moment. The teachers eyes lit up at this comment. This had been used on many heros before, and actually works quite well in more than just tormenting them. Their emotions distort their thought, and they will walk straight into traps. Only the greatest of hero's ever make it out of those traps. "That is a classic Mikagami. I am expecting to hear similar things from you the rest of the year." Nakano then suddenly was in front of the board, with her hands behind her back, eyeing the class. Lightning struck again, and she was facing the board, chalk in hand. This would take some getting used to for Yuri. <----------------------------------------------------> In the darkest, most eerie room in Dark Heart High, Principal Amakusa turned from his monitors to Akurei. "I told you so." Akurei grumbled. He walked out of the room, glanced back at Amakusa. Amakusa smiled coldly back. Akurei then pressed the trigger he held in one of his claws as he shut the door. <----------------------------------------------------> Yuri was the last one to walk out of her Advanced Villiany class, and almost tripped over the "short one", Leilei. "WAI!! How was your class?" sqealed Leilei. Yuri had to take a step back to before she became overwhelmed by Leilei's proximity to her and her loud, excited sqealing in her face. "Oh, nothing much...The teacher liked one of my answers in class..." "WAI!! THAT'S GREAT!!!" Balabalade actually took a step back from the little one this time. Yuri's hair suddenly was in a mess from the gust of air that Leilei was blasting. "What's up with Leilie, Bala?" Balabalade simple looked at the handful of pixie sticks in Leilei's hand. Yuri sweatdropped. This would not be fun. "Well, um, I think i have to hurry and get to Battle Education....BYE BYE!!" Yuri rushed toward her next class, out on the field. Leilei was too excited and to LOUD to be around at the moment. When Leilei gets hyped up on sugar, her behavior becomes irritated, and she likes to play jokes. Practical ones. <----------------------------------------------------> Yuri stopped right at the tip of a sword pointed at her by the Instructor. She almost had a heart attack, she barely stopped in time. She was almost impaled. "Welcome to Higher Level Battle Education. Remember, you should ALWAYS be on guard here. It is in this class, we prepare you for the real world of random attacks of the heros, and the back stabbing by your minions. You must always be prepared. Doombringer causally walked out on the field along with some other upperclassman. Kashin, Uling, and Midori. Midori smiled at Yuri. Yuri gave a warm smile back. Afterall, she did help her out before. Midori mentally gagged. This girl was too cute and stupid for her own good. If they were training like they normally do, she could kill her when we practice battle amongst ourselves. It would be dismissed as a accident. "Today you will fight amongst yourselves to hone your skills. I suggest you pair up, today is not the 'Everyone for themselves' day. That is Friday. Begin." The instructor walked to the equipment closet. He reached in to retrive his favorite sword. He wanted to see the famous skill of the Yuri Mikagami. He would also try to catch her off guard after he tested the other students. Midori wasted no time. She jumped into the air and drew her short and sleek sword. She fell towards Yuri, intending to slice her with the momentum of her fall adding on to the attack, but she just hit hard ground. Midori lost track of Yuri. Yuri was a good few yards behind Midori, she knew how to dodge and dodge QUICK. She then attempted to call her armor. Then.... Nothing happened. She tried again and.... Nothing happened. Midori turned and dashed toward Yuri, and missed again. Midori wished she would just stand still and die like good bitch. Midori lifted her battle stance, and stood tall. She would have to feel this one out. Yuri was too fast. Then there was a huge commotion coming from the school. It was Yuri in her armor! She was swinging her sword every which way, and almost decapitating other students. There was no thought placed into her attacks. Midori thought she could take Yuri easy. Then she heard Yuri's voice. Except it was coming from behind her. <----------------------------------------------------> Midori whirled to look behind her. Yuri seemed to be confused. Then her eyes lit with... what would that emotion be called... rage? From Yuri? Midori was confused. Who was the one in the armour... "WAI!!! This is SOOO FUN!!!" Yuri rubbed her temples. She had a tremendous headache. She looked up towards Leilei in her armour. She ran right up to Yuri, swinging everywhere, Midori barely dodge it. "LEILEI!!!" "Nani?" Leilei opened her helmet. "How did you get my bracelet with my armour?" Leilei giggled as Yuri rubbed her temples. She noticed Bala slowly approaching from the distance. "I got it from you silly!" Giving Leilei sugar, was like giving a drunkard crack. She acts stupid AND hyper. There were several instances in the past... [Flashback] "Ouch why does my head hurt?" Yuri sat up. She was sitting on the floor. She must have been unconsious. She looked around at her surrondings. She saw lockers, and showers, and.... Guys....NAKED guys. Yuri turned red in fury and in embarrasment. She noticed movement toward her as she tried not to look. It was Bala. She blushed. HARD. Bala seemed to not know when to wear a towel. She noticed all the other guys eyeing them. She looked up at Bala. Bala's eyes. He was less than two inches to her face. He blinked questioningly. Yuri was about to explode from all the emotion. He was not only that close to her, but he was NAKED. It was then Yuri realized something. They weren't staring at them because they thought something was going on. The looks seemed...hungry. Yuri was also... NAKED! Yuri's scream shattered even lockers themselves. She could not go into the hallway, to go to the girls locker room, because she was naked, but she had to cover up now because she was...naked. What a dillema! That, and Bala was still looking at her. He wasn't helping. [End Flashback] That was just one of them. Leilei had put something in her drink so Yuri would enjoy herself and have "fun." That was just one example of Leilei adding more energy to her system that was already at the brim. That was not Yuri's idea of "fun." She was the deepest shade of red for a week. She blended in with the sunset at the right angle. Yuri glared down at Leilei. Leilei smiled cheerfully back. "Give me my armour. Now." Leilei giggled nervously and deactivated the armour. She handed the bracelet to Yuri. "Now...never, EVER, take MY armour, or eat SUGAR..ever..ever. AGAIN!" The resulting scene was that of a speeding Leilei, tears streaming through the air as she ran, with a Yuri behind her with her mom's Sakura Arts sword in hand. <----------------------------------------------------> Yuri was tired. She hated when she lost control like that. Something just took over. She walked through the corridor to go to her Future Accountants Club. She heard a crash. "Amy?" Amy was walking, no, more like trudging sickly through the hall, stumbling over ever so often. Yuri ran over to Amy. "My head, hurts SO much." "What happened, Amy? Did Bala hurt you again?" "YOU DON'T HAVE TO TALK SO LOUD!! and no, he didn't." "Do you need me to help you walk home?" "No, you don't have to," *BAAM* "help me at all." "It's no problem, Amy. You are a good friend." Amy would tear up and look at Yuri puppy dog eyed, if it wasn't for the fact she had a splitting headache. <----------------------------------------------------> Yuri had finally gotten to meet Amy's mother, and she had seemed to almost stare *through* Yuri. And then she had smiled, almost *too* brightly at her. As impossible as it had seemed, that smile had grown even *brighter* as she had helped Yuri with Amy. Once Amy was asleep, Yuri said goodbye to Mrs. Angeleye and left. She began to walk home. She was already too late for the Future Accountance Club meeting. This had been quite a day. The Unbidden would be quite bothered by her not showing up to the meeting. <----------------------------------------------------> ".ok time for attendancE "?merklA" There was a female body, Ryoji prefered them now, thanks to Yuri's idea about wearing makeup. "Hai, sempai!" "? YurI" There was a long silence. Then... "? spawn of the hellstorM" The Unbidden did not appreciate his follower not showing up. He would make her do Microsoft's budget for this. Ryoji spoke up. "She left a note. She said she had to help a friend." ".very well then, merklA .i will be having words with her later, thougH !even if she is now an upperclassman, this is still *my* cluB" ***** Author's Notes: I tried to make this long as possible, I could have made it longer, but hey, I'm feeling lazy. I had less time to do this than I wished with school projects. Now that I have your attention I also want to say, I don't like the fact that they changed the way Amy liked Yuri....it was Amusing. Yes, partly it is my perverted guy side, but you can run with it, and it made things different. Oh, as for future authors. Yuri is probably a Senior, but actually I'll leave that up to you. I recommend at least a Junior if you don't want her to be a senior. And you can bump her back down grades, but you figure out how you do that. I wanted this chapter to focus around the upperclassmen more, but it ended up being Yuri oriented. That's fine suppose, especially for you Yuri fans out there. Thank you for The Apprentice and Xelsama AKA. Ryou Habiki for prereading. Oh, and sorry about the flashback. Well...Ja ne! ***** Principal Amakusa was amused. He watched Yuri all that day. She seemed like she could manage being in a higher level. She has yet to perish by the hands of another. He also knows that Akurei has a little bit of a problem with the Mikagami girl. He just doesn't see her pontential like Amakusa. Principal Amakusa turned to the remanants of his office. What a childish show of anger. Blowing up my office Like it could kill him. He stood up and pressed a button on his phone. "Hello. Yes, I need my room cleaned and renovated by tommorow. Yes the same way it always is. Thank you." He calmly walked out of the room and smiled to himself. __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? New DSL Internet Access from SBC & Yahoo! http://sbc.yahoo.com
