The Starburst Crystal Used Candies List And Related Trivia v 1.4 up to and including part 42 Compiled by Nicolas Juzda Numbers refer to the first part in which the candy was used. Names are given as the candy where known and not SC usage (eg spearmint instead of Spear of Mint); this is especially important for those occasions when two related characters had one candy name split between them (eg Pepper and Mint). I've worked under the assumption that names I didn't recognize did belong to candies, but a few may not have. Asterisks indicate there is a related footnote. Additionally, there was a reference in part 24 to a legendary individual known as Jersey Milk; if the town is called that, it is presumably after him or her. In part 23, it is revealed that Riesen once disposed of another of Wintergreen's lieutenants, named Werther. Much earlier, while masquerading as a monk in part 8, he had made reference to Abbot Werther. The abbot presumably was made up as part of Riesen's deception, and named after his old rival as a private joke. Riesen also referred to the group of monks to which he claimed to belong as the Order of Caramello, again in part 8. Much later, Winis remembers in part 28 that he was sent to live with King Caramello in his youth. This could just be a coincidence, but since Riesen came from the same area of Mars as Winis, it is possible there actually is a real order named after the king or vice versa, and there's also the chance that Riesen himself came up with the fictitious Order of Caramello but named it after the real king. (Maybe Riesen just can't think up names? Is there a real Toblerone and Cadbury in his past?) One of Twizzler's spells, the "Jawbreaker Crash", appears to break the normal pattern for her magic by being named after a candy (the jawbreaker) instead of a dessert (unless there's a dessert called Jawbreaker Crash that I don't know of). It is also worth noting that there has been a monster called the Jawbreaker; if the spell name is considered canonical, it may possibly have been derived from the fact that the destructive effect was on a similar scale to that caused by the giant snake. Zagnut uttered two power-increasing war cries, "tastes like lemon" and "tastes like licorice". It is safe to assume that these words do not possess their literal meaning (ie a reference to the sense of taste). "Licorice" also happens to be the name of the Queen who formerly ruled Twizzler's homeland, and why her name turns up in a Nerd war cry is unclear.
